This post is dedicated to the transfiguration of the Soulja Boy Dance. I was invited to guest lecture at a course, I, for now, managed to resist commenting on how the dance has been adapted, butchered, altered, transformed, de/re-constructed, and/or re-interpreted; in some cases, allowing space, for some folk, to perform their most genuine notion of 'blackness', for example.
